POSITION SUMMARY
The Busser plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional dining experience for Members and Guests by maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of dining and event areas while supporting Servers, Bartenders, Banquet Team Members, and Food & Beverage leadership. This full-time seasonal position contributes to the overall Member experience through attentiveness, professionalism, teamwork, and a commitment to service excellence. Bussers also support Club functions, banquets, Member events, tournaments, and special events, including event setup, service support, and breakdown as operational needs require. Bussers are expected to create a welcoming environment while maintaining the high standards associated with a premier private club.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Provide exceptional service and hospitality to Members and Guests at all times.
· Assist in the setup, maintenance, and breakdown of dining rooms, patios, banquet spaces, and special event areas.
· Properly set, reset, and maintain dining tables according to Club standards.
· Clear, clean, and reset tables promptly and efficiently during and after service.
· Refill water glasses and assist with beverage service as directed.
· Deliver food and beverages to tables when necessary and assist service staff in ensuring accurate and timely service.
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining rooms, service stations, beverage stations, wait stations, and storage areas.
· Remove soiled dishes, glassware, silverware, and linens from dining areas.
· Polish glassware, silverware, and service items as assigned.
· Stock service stations with necessary supplies throughout each shift.
· Assist with opening and closing duties according to established procedures.
· Support banquet, tournament, and special event operations as needed.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment.
· Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures in accordance with Riverside County Food Handler requirements.
· Support a safe working environment and immediately report unsafe conditions.
· Report to work as scheduled, in proper uniform, and prepared to perform assigned duties.
· Follow Club policies, procedures, and service standards.
· Communicate effectively with management and fellow Team Members to ensure exceptional Member experiences.
· Greet Members promptly and professionally, utilizing Member names whenever possible.
· Perform additional duties as assigned.
BANQUET & SPECIAL EVENT SUPPORT
· Support the Banquet and Events Team in the execution of Club functions, Member events, private parties, tournaments, holiday events, and other special events as assigned.
· Assist with event setup and breakdown, including tables, chairs, linens, glassware, silverware, serviceware, beverage stations, service stations, and other event-related equipment and supplies.
· Assist with food and beverage service during banquet functions and special events, including clearing tables, replenishing water and service items, maintaining service stations, and supporting Servers and Bartenders as directed.
· Assist with room resets and transitions between events or functions, ensuring event spaces are clean, organized, properly arranged, and ready for Member and Guest use.
· Review event diagrams, function sheets, and service instructions as directed to understand event setup, timing, assigned service areas, and special requirements.
· Work collaboratively with Banquet, Culinary, and Food & Beverage Team Members to maintain efficient service flow and ensure seamless event execution.
· Assist with post-event breakdown, including clearing and cleaning event spaces, collecting and sorting linens and serviceware, returning equipment and supplies to designated storage areas, and preparing spaces for subsequent Club activities.
· Remain flexible in assigned duties and service areas based on operational and event needs, including providing support outside of regularly assigned restaurant or dining areas.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous food and beverage, hospitality, restaurant, club, or resort experience preferred.
• Current Riverside County Food Handler Card.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with Members, Guests, and Team Members.
• Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Ability to remain standing and walking for extended periods, up to 8 hours or more.
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, reach, twist, and perform repetitive movements.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications
• Hospitality, food safety, or service-related certifications are beneficial.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional Member service and maintaining luxury hospitality standards.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
• Criminal/civil background clearance.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Standing and walking continuously throughout the shift while supporting dining room operations and assisting Members, Guests, and service staff.
• Carrying trays, dish racks, bus tubs, glassware, silverware, linens, service equipment, and supplies throughout dining rooms, patios, banquet spaces, and other Club facilities.
• Reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching to clear and reset tables, retrieve supplies, stock service stations, and maintain dining room presentation standards.
• Using hands and fingers continuously to handle dishes, glassware, silverware, linens, trays, cleaning tools, and other service-related equipment.
• Communicating with Members, Guests, Servers, Bartenders, culinary staff, and fellow Team Members to support service operations and ensure an exceptional Member experience.
• Reading table numbers, service instructions, event diagrams, signage, and other operational information requiring close and distance vision.
• Identifying table settings, service areas, glassware, silverware, food items, and potential safety hazards requiring depth perception, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling bus tubs, dish racks, tables, chairs, beverage containers, service equipment, and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Working indoors and outdoors in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to heat, cold, wind, and other weather conditions associated with Club operations and special events.
• Maintaining awareness of dining room activity, service needs, cleanliness standards, and Member requests while performing multiple tasks in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional club environment. This role operates with standard food and beverage serving equipment, glass, silver, and dinnerware. Service areas include, but are not limited to, restaurants, Clubhouse exterior grounds, private party locations, and other places.
