About the Role
We are looking for a Cabinet Shop Worker to assist with the day-to-day production of cabinetry. This is a hands-on position that requires someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in doing things correctly, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment.
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, willing to learn, and takes ownership of their work.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the production and assembly of cabinets and cabinet components
- Read and follow shop drawings, measurements, and production instructions
- Operate basic woodworking tools and equipment safely
- Assist with cutting, sanding, drilling, assembly, and installation preparation
- Inspect materials and finished components for quality and accuracy
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area
- Load, unload, move, and organize materials and finished cabinetry
- Assist experienced cabinetmakers with various shop tasks
- Follow established production processes and quality standards
- Complete tasks accurately and efficiently while meeting deadlines
- Communicate any material, measurement, or production issues to the appropriate team member
- Perform other shop-related duties as needed
Qualifications
Required:
- Reliable and dependable
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working with hand and power tools
- Able to follow instructions and measurements accurately
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift/move materials
- Willingness to learn new skills and processes
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment
Preferred:
- Previous cabinet, woodworking, carpentry, or construction experience
- Experience reading shop drawings or 2D plans
- Familiarity with cabinet construction and hardware
- Experience using woodworking machinery
- Basic understanding of measurements and fractions
