Call Center Scheduler

Summary

This is a scheduler/operator staff position with responsibility for answering of both inbound and outbound calls.  Serves patients by answering inquires; questions and provides accurate information.  ENTAA Care, a practice pod of Johns Hopkins Regional Physicians LLC.

Key Responsibilities:

• Books, coordinates and reschedules patient’s appointments accurately and timely according to current protocol.


• Answers telephone according to current protocol; including questions regarding appointments such as testing, etc.


• Directs and transfer calls to the appropriate staff member/department relaying all pertinent information.


• Directs patient complaints and or compliments to the appropriate department manager.


• Obtains patient information accurately and timely; interviews caller, verifies information, etc.


• Enters patient information per procedure.


• Completes assigned In Basket Messages.


• Calls patients regarding reschedules as needed.


• Schedules website appointments and maintains log.


• Covers for all other operators and schedulers when needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of High School diploma or GED required.


• Minimum of one (1) years’ experience in a call center setting; preferably in a health care setting preferred.


• Experience with computerized EMR (electronic medical records) systems highly desirable: familiarity with use of computers is required.


• Excellent oral and written communication skills.


• High level of patience, tolerance and tact in order to deal effectively with people and time pressures.


• Initiative and assertiveness in dealing with problems.


• Flexible to changing demands.

Salary Range: Minimum 18.50/hour - Maximum 23.00/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
