Job Description

THE ROLE 

Responsible for all sales activities in assigned territory to support, develop and drive top line sales growth.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

•    Represent JELD-WEN inc in a professional manner by presenting and selling company products and sales programs.
•    Train customer sales associates how to sell JELD-WEN products and services
•    Prepare sales plans and call schedules based on analysis of provided data and market opportunities.
•    Understand competition in market
•    Understand JELD-WEN products to develop feature-benefit explanations
•    Be prepared with current sales numbers for each store call and use those to maximize impact
•    Maintain in-store POP and displays
•    Support customer efforts to grow targeted business
•    Identify and resolve store associate and management concerns
•    Other duties may be assigned

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

•    Ability to read blueprints and knowledge to perform window and door take-offs required.
•    Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Customer Relationship Management Software, Electronic Pricing Catalogue, Other Electronic pricing methods (MQS/M2O, etc.), Expense Reporting Program, and Internet Web Browser.
•    Comfortable working with hand tools to maintain in-store displays and POP
•    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
•    The employee may be required to travel in support of sales, training, and service management. 50%+

Education and Experience

•    Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or minimum of five years related sales experience and/or training, preferably in the window and door industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
