Carpenter Apprentice

Job Summary
The Carpenter Apprentice works alongside experienced carpenters on commercial construction projects, assisting with carpentry tasks while learning safe work practices and building trade skills.
Essential Duties
• Assist with measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing materials.
• Support framing, drywall, door and hardware installation, and finish carpentry.
• Use hand and power tools under supervision.
• Maintain a clean work area and follow jobsite safety procedures.
• Follow direction from carpenters and supervisors.
Minimum Requirements
• Interest in learning the carpentry trade combined with a willingness to join the CITC apprenticeship if not already enrolled
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a crew.
• Willingness to learn safe use of hand and power tools.
• Ability to perform the physical duties of the position and report to assigned jobsites.
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior construction or carpentry experience.
• Familiarity with measuring, framing, drywall, or door installation.
• Ability to read basic construction plans.
• OSHA 10 certification.

The anticipated pay range for this position is $22.00- $30.00 per hour. Actual compensation may be affected by factors such as education, experience, skillset and/or location.)
