Duties & Responsibilities:
Construction of exterior wood-framed and concrete-poured steps and landings
Layout and execution of work based on plans, elevations, and site conditions
Installation of framing, decking, threads, risers, and handrails/guardrails
Installation of forms and pouring of concrete for concrete steps and landings
Ensure all work meets local building code requirements (rise/run, clearances, safety)
Site prep including grading, leveling, and anchoring of structures
Coordination with Field Services Supervisor and Construction Managers to align on schedule and sequencing
Identify and communicate field issues or conflicts early
Maintain clean and safe job sites
Support inspection readiness and complete corrections if required
Requirements & Qualifications:
3+ years experience in carpentry or residential construction
Proven experience building stairs, decks, or similar structures
Basic understanding of building codes related to steps and landings
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
Experience using hand and power tools safely and effectively
Clean driving record (required to travel between job sites)
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
Ability to work outdoors in various conditions
Willingness to commute to different locations and sites
