Carpet Care and Pressure Wash Technician

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform carpet extraction, bonnet cleaning, and spot treatment in guest rooms and public areas.


• Perform scheduled and on-demand pressure washing of exterior walkways, loading docks, pool decks, and garage areas.


• Operate and maintain all machines, wet vacs, and air movers; stage and secure equipment.


• Identify carpet fiber types and select appropriate chemicals and dwell times to prevent damage.


• Treat stains (coffee, rust, wine, gum) using correct methods; document before/after results.


• Coordinate room access with Front Office to minimize guest impact and drying time.


• Adhere to safety, lockout/tagout when needed, and proper chemical dilution and storage.


• Set up safety perimeters and signage; manage hoses, water sources, and slip hazards.


• Adjust nozzles, PSI, and detergents appropriate to surfaces (concrete, stone, pavers, stucco).

Qualifications:

• Hotel or commercial floorcare experience required; IICRC certification preferred.


• Knowledge of carpet chemistry, pH, and stain identification/removal techniques.


• Able to lift/move equipment 50+ lbs and transport between floors/areas.


• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail to avoid over wetting or wicking.


• Comfort using radios and basic maintenance ticket systems.
