Our Firm is looking to add a Payroll Specialist to work in our client accounting solutions department, as well as perform other functions as needed. An ideal candidate will have a background in accounting and enjoy working as part of a close-knit team. The position requires frequent contact with management and our clients, so we are looking for someone who enjoys being part of a fast-paced team and has a passion for learning.

Minimum Entry Requirements



  • Bachelor's Degree preferred but experience a must.

  • QuickBooks Online Certification is required (may obtain within allotted time after being hired).

  • Must have extensive experience in payroll processing, reporting and overall compliance.

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are a necessity.

  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities in an efficient, organized manner.

  • Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment.

  • Knowledge seeking with a willingness to learn.


 


Essential Functions



  • Perform monthly bookkeeping services for small business clients (record transactions, reconcile accounts, prepare financial statements).

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly sales tax filings as needed.

  • Process client payrolls on a week-to-week basis, including maintaining schedules and appropriate paperwork.

  • Prepare quarterly and annual payroll reports for federal and state agencies.

  • Prepare annual 1099 returns.

  • Provide assistance to team members and clients as necessary.
