Hours: Flexible schedule (Monday-Friday), between 7 am-8 pm, some evenings, holidays, and weekends may be required to support operations and to respond to emergencies.

Summary: The position provides permanent supportive housing services to individuals experiencing homelessness, identified as the most vulnerable in the District of Columbia. The Neighbors First Program follows a Housing First model and philosophy. The Case Manager works to empower participants to rebuild their lives, relying on their strengths and using wraparound resources in a holistic, participant-driven process.

Physical and Environmental Requirements: This position requires split time between office/desk settings, traveling to meet with households across the service area, and attending meetings/engagements with key stakeholders. Field time consists of up to 80%. Employees must be able to sit for extended periods with repetitive motion and positions. The employee must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a motorized vehicle. Some lifting may be required (up to 20-25lbs).
Background Checks: This position is classified as Protection Sensitive under DHS. The selected candidate will be required to complete and pass background checks specific to contract requirements that may include criminal history background check and fingerprinting, FBI Background Check, DC Metropolitan Police Background Check, State-of-Residence Police Background Check, DC Child Abuse Registry (CFSA), National Sex Offender Registry Check, Drug Panel and Alcohol Screening, Tuberculosis Test, and Driving Record check (for positions transporting participants). Reference checks and verification of current and/or previous employment are required.

Compensation: The hourly pay is between $27.94 - $30.53. The starting pay is based on a step system. A candidate’s starting pay determination is made based on meeting the basic position requirements, and current completed education, credentials, and work experience. Please Note: The step system is set and not open to pay negotiation.
