Looking for a job where you'll actually learn something? As a Cashier at Morton Lumber, you'll be the face of the store — the person who makes every customer's day a little better. No experience necessary — we'll train you. If you've got retail or cash-handling experience, even better — it'll show in your starting pay. Must be 18+.

Pay: $8–$12/hour, based on retail or cash-handling experience.

What you'll do:

Be the reason someone's day gets better

• Greet every customer like they matter (because they do) and send them off with a "thanks, [name]!"
• Bring the energy — friendly, upbeat, easy to work with
• Move lines fast so nobody's standing around
• Answer calls and pages like a pro
• Loop in a manager when something's above your pay grade
• Learn where everything is in the store (yes, you'll become the person people ask "where's the duct tape?")
• Help price, stock, and bag merchandise

Run the register like you own it

• Handle every transaction the right way, every time
• Balance your drawer — it's satisfying when it's spot on
• Roll with promotions and programs from corporate
• Show up to team meetings and have a voice

Keep the front end looking sharp

• Keep checkout and the entrance clean and welcoming
• Stock and freshen up impulse displays as seasons change
• Keep ads, forms, and supplies stocked
• Help decorate for seasonal programs
• Call for cart pickups
• Flag returns that need to go back on the shelf
• Jump in wherever else you're needed
