This is a dedicated retail distribution run out of the Windsor, CT area. The pay is high because the freight is hands-on — you unload at the stores, box by box — and the miles are short, so you're home weekly for your 34-hour reset. If you have patience, customer-service sense, and don't mind touch freight, this seat pays like few others.

• $240 per fully unloaded trailer, $75 per backhaul, $250 for New York borough deliveries

Your week

A dedicated retail account delivering across Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, Rhode Island and Maine, about 900 miles a week over roughly 3 loads. Freight is 100% driver-unload, live at the stores, box by box on rollers. Night, weekend and holiday driving is part of the schedule, and you're home weekly for your reset.

A late-model assigned tractor with 24/7 dispatch. You can park secured at any account store location or distribution center.

What you need

• Valid Class A CDL in your state of residence, age 21 or older
• Recent, verifiable CDL-A driving experience
• Able to hand-unload freight box by box, with patience and strong customer service
• Acceptable driving record; no more than 2 moving violations in the past 2 years
• No DUI/DWI in the past 5 years; DOT physical and hair and urine drug screen
