CDL-A Home Daily Night Runs - Grads Welcome

Charlotte County drivers: grocery delivery nights, home every day, five-day schedule.

Fresh out of CDL school? This position takes new drivers, and we will walk you through every step.

Your paycheck

• Paid $650 per week in training
• $1,300 average per week
• $0.43 to $0.51 per mile
• About 2,200 miles weekly
• Home daily
• $10 stop pay, $30 for loads under 90 miles
• You get paid weekly

What the job looks like

Two runs per night. Schedules are Thursday to Monday or Friday to Tuesday.

Slip seat. Live unloads at the stores. Holiday nights are worked when the stores need freight.

From application to your own truck

After you apply, a recruiter calls to look over your license and record with you. Next comes orientation, 2 days at most, with the hotel paid, your one-way bus ticket reimbursed and $300 for attending once you are hired. Then you ride 4 to 6 weeks with a mentor who coaches you on backing, trip planning, logs and fueling, and you are paid $650 a week while you learn. When you are ready, you get your own assigned truck, from a fleet about 1.5 years old on average with 10-speeds and automatics.

Questions new drivers ask us

• "Will I be gone for months?" No. You are home every day.
• "Will getting to orientation cost me money?" No. Your one-way bus ticket is reimbursed and the hotel is on us.
• "I have a ticket on my record." Up to 2 moving violations in the last 2 years is fine. The recruiter checks yours with you on the first call.
• "My backing is rough." That is normal. You practice for weeks with a mentor beside you before you run solo.

What you need

• 21 or older with a valid Class A CDL
• New CDL-A holders welcome (at least 120 hours from a CDL school), or 6 months of recent experience
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years, no DUI/DWI in the last 10 years
• Pass a DOT physical plus hair and urine drug test
