San Antonio Class A drivers: $1,725 a week, and not one box to unload.
Picture a normal two weeks. You leave home with a planned load waiting. Your dispatcher keeps you moving across the 48 states, most of it east of I-35. Every load is no-touch. You log about 2,000 miles a week in a 2021 or newer Freightliner Cascadia or Kenworth that is assigned to you. Then you come home for your days off. That's the usual rhythm: about 12 days out, 2 days home. If you want a different rhythm, you set it.
When things don't go to plan, you still get paid: $12.50 an hour of detention after the first 2 hours, and $100 a day for a layover or breakdown.
