Attention ALL Cafeteria / Restaurant cooks - Tired of late evenings and weekends - Growing Kids Learning Center on State Road 23  seeks an individual to prepare breakfast, snacks, and lunches, and occasionally back-up teachers. The Center Cook supports learning, development, and health of young children. Their responsibilities include:

Responsibilities:

• Food preparation: Preparing nutritious meals in bulk for breakfast, lunch, and snacks


• Food safety: Following strict food safety regulations and sanitation guidelines


• Kitchen maintenance: Keeping the kitchen clean and orderly by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out the trash


• Food storage: Ensuring that all food and other items are stored properly


• Ordering: Ordering food and supplies as needed
  

Qualifications:

• Self-motivated and able to work in a team environment


• Ensures the safety of the children entrusted in our care


• Submit to a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB testing upon hire


• Follow the state regulation nutritional requirements 


• Participates in continued professional development for center workers


• Budget, plan, and prepare weekly menus


• Physical requirements: the ability to lift (45 lbs) and stand for prolonged periods
  

Schedule: 

• Onsite - Monday to Friday - NO late evenings

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required) or currently enrolled in a school internship program.
