Central Sterile Tech

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for cleaning of instruments, equipment, and  other small medical items used throughout the facility, preparing packs, sterilization of instruments and supplies, documentation and storage of records, and performing routine monthly and quarterly cleaning, folding and storing linen.

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities:

·        High school graduate

·         Current IAHCSMM certification.  If not certified upon hire, must certify within two years of hired date.

·         Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.

·         Ability to communicate effectively as a member of a team.

·         Ability to maintain composure in a busy working environment.

·         Must possess those technical and critical thinking skills required to complete the duties as described in this job description.
