Job Description - Certified Audiology Technician

Job Title: Audiology Technician
Location: Minneapolis VA Health Care System (Minneapolis, MN)
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Saturday, 07:30 AM – 04:00 PM
Qualifications:

Medical Liability Insurance.
Certification in hearing aid technology (National Board for Certification in Hearing Instrument Sciences is a plus).
Experience with handling patient safety and infection control standards.
Strong communication skills for patient education and collaboration with healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of hearing aids.
Take accurate ear mold impressions, ship orders to vendors, and track shipments.
Educate patients on proper maintenance and use of hearing aids and assistive devices.
Perform otoscopic exams and manage cerumen (earwax) removal.
Document patient interactions and services provided in the VA’s CPRS system.
