Range Mental Health Center is proud to be a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC). The goals of the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics program in MN are to 1) increase access to community-based mental health and substance use disorder services (particularly to under-served communities), 2) advance integration of behavioral health with physical health care, and 3) improve utilization of evidence-based practices on a more consistent basis.

Position Summary:
A Certified Family Peer Specialist (CFPS) partners with families of children and youth receiving mental health services to provide encouragement, guidance, and support. Drawing from lived experience, CFPS staff help families build on their strengths, navigate challenges, and support their child’s resiliency and recovery. CFPS services are nonclinical and family-centered, focusing on helping caregivers develop skills, knowledge, confidence, and community connections that strengthen the family and support the child or youth’s treatment goals across home, schools, and community settings.
