The Certified Home Health Aide is responsible for, providing assistance to patients with personal care, activities of daily living/maintenance and management of household routines. Responsibilities can also include, but are not limited to:

1. Greets patients in a friendly and welcoming manner. Creates a positive first impression. Smiles, projects a positive attitude.


2. Through the continuous improvement standards of practice and by providing a safe and secure environment the patient will be assured a sense of safety and well-being, free from risk and harm.


3. Gives and/or assists with assigned personal care tasks.


4. Assists with activities of daily living


5. Assists patient with mobility


6. Assists patient in performing bowel and bladder functions


7. Assists patient in maintaining adequate nutrition


8. Follows Agency policy and procedures


9. Nurture by supporting all patients. Acts with courtesy, care, concern and compassion. Educates others by sharing knowledge and expertise.

Education:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Professional Experience:

• Current CHHA license in the State of New Jersey


• 1 year of related work experience
