Certified Patient Care Tech

The Patient Care Technician assists patients with activities of daily living and selective procedures delegated and communicated by the licensed nurse.  These activities focus on maintaining a safe, hazard free, clean environment which facilitates patient focused care.

Required Qualifications: 

• Coursework/Training: Combined equivalent experience and certification needed for function and level., Or Current graduate of state approved PCT program (CPCT).


• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association 


• Upon hire: National Certified Patient Care Technician - National Association for Health Professionals, Or


• Upon hire: National Certified Patient Care Technician - National Center for Competency Testing, or


• Upon hire: National Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant - National Healthcareer Association 

Preferred Qualifications:

• H.S. Diploma or GED


• 6 months of PCT experience in an acute care setting.


• 6 months of Phlebotomy experience.
