Certified Water Operator

JOB OVERVIEW

• This is routine skilled work responsible for operating water production and treatment facilities with substantial independence on assigned shift.

SPECIFIC. TASKS DUTIES; & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain and troubleshoot, wells, water treatment plant and sample stations.


• Work independently to make routine chlorine sampling and various sites around town.


• Change chlorine cylinders at well locations as needed.


• Ensure paperwork is completed daily for LDH.


• Work with hand tools, power tools as needed.


• Maintain accurate records as required by LDH. Any other duties assigned.

WORKER REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree)


• Valid Driver's License


• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals for water treatment.


• Able to work under varying conditions and to perform light to heavy physical activity.

HOURS/SCHEDULING

Shift work (Mon., Tues. off three days then Sat., Sun., off two days then Wed., Thurs., Friday., off two days) 5am-5pm

May be called in for emergencies

Overtime as needed
