Chief Estimator

Job Description:



CEA is looking for a Multi-Disciplined Chief Estimator & Cost Managers to estimate quantity take-off needs utilizing historic benchmarking information and industry experience to develop complete cost estimate forecasting and manage: 

• Business Development


• Preconstruction


• Stakeholders Meetings

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date pricing information from databases, contractors, suppliers, etc.


• Review historic benchmark cost information and highlight variances


• Handle change order reviews and value engineering issues as they arise on various projects and determine cost implications on labor, material, and equipment for any given discipline within an estimate.


• Attend project briefing meeting to review documents, review the estimate to ensure full understanding on the part of the Client on what was incorporated, facilitate, or participate in meetings with Owner, Architects and Contractors, as required


• Meet Client deadlines and expectations. Review client comments and make necessary changes within a specific timeframe. Make Client aware of additional services to projects when expectations appear to go beyond the original scope of services

• B.S. Construction Management or related construction discipline - preferred


• Significant estimating experience


• Knowledge of Building Systems.


• Possess technical knowledge of construction methods, building systems, and terminology


• Ability to read & interpret blueprints and produce concise Mechanical quantity take-offs utilizing company procedures and standards


• Ability to manage and mentor estimators
