Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

MCHC is seeking an experienced and mission-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial operations of our organization and provide the financial insight and guidance needed to support sound business and healthcare decisions. The CFO serves as a key member of the administrative leadership team and works closely with the CEO, executive leadership, department managers, and Board of Directors. This position is responsible for overseeing the Finance department while ensuring the organization maintains strong financial practices, accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective resource management. The ideal candidate will bring strong financial leadership, sound accounting knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to our mission of providing high-quality compassionate healthcare to everyone in our communities.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the organization’s financial affairs and oversee accounting operations in accordance with GAAP and standard accounting principles.
• Prepare accurate cash-flow projections and present monthly financial statements to the Board of Directors.
• Serve as a member of the administrative leadership team and participate in organizational strategic planning.
• Develop financial plans related to Alternative Payment Methodologies (APM), as applicable.
• Ensure accurate tracking and reporting related to the 340B program.
• Stay current on State and Federal regulations affecting the organization and participate in relevant committees and professional activities.
• Build relationships with other FQHCs and healthcare organizations to identify and implement financial best practices.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

• BS in Business Administration – or emphasis/concentration in accounting  
• Minimum seven (7) years’ experience in accounting, last two/three years in supervisory position    

PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:  

• Prior experience in health care 
• Prior experience with varied payor mixes (private pay, insurance, Medi-Cal, Medicare, etc.)
