Job Description - Chief Marketing Officer, Retail Medical & Healthcare Services

MarketPro has partnered with an
innovative, rapidly scaling healthcare services company on a confidential
search for its next Chief Marketing Officer. Backed by a leading private equity
firm, this organization is transforming how individuals, employers, and physicians
experience primary and concierge care—offering a modern, membership -based model
that delivers better access, deeper relationships, and improved outcomes.

Unlike traditional healthcare
services companies, this firm operates at the intersection of care delivery
innovation, physician empowerment, and consumer engagement. Its two
complementary business units—advanced primary care for employers and turnkey
concierge medicine enablement for physicians—position the company at the
forefront of a fast -growing, disruptive segment of healthcare.

As the business enters a pivotal
growth phase, the Chief Marketing Officer will serve as a key member of the
executive leadership team, responsible for shaping enterprise growth strategy,
accelerating customer acquisition, strengthening brand leadership, and building
a world -class marketing organization. This leader will have the unique
opportunity to influence both business strategy and execution while positioning
marketing as a primary driver of enterprise value creation.

This is a rare opportunity for a
transformative marketing leader to architect and scale the growth engine of a
private equity -backed healthcare innovator poised for significant national
expansion. The Chief Marketing Officer will partner closely with the executive
leadership team and Board of Directors to help shape the next chapter of the
company's growth story.

The Chief Marketing Officer will
own the enterprise marketing strategy across both business units, leading all
aspects of demand generation, patient acquisition, brand strategy, customer
engagement, analytics, and marketing operations. This executive will be
responsible for creating scalable growth strategies that accelerate revenue,
strengthen market position, and drive measurable business outcomes across both
B2B and B2C audiences.

This role requires a strategic
thinker with exceptional execution skills and a proven track record of scaling
revenue, generating high -quality leads, and driving consumer
engagement—particularly within retail -oriented healthcare environments. The
ideal candidate is equally comfortable shaping enterprise strategy, leading
high -performing teams, and leveraging data and analytics to drive measurable
business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Executive Leadership

  • Serve
    as a key member of the executive leadership team, contributing to overall
    business strategy, growth planning, and organizational priorities.
  • Partner
    closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, and senior leadership team to
    communicate growth initiatives, business performance, and strategic
    opportunities.
  • Help
    shape long -term growth strategy while ensuring marketing investments are
    aligned with enterprise objectives and value creation goals.
  • Act as
    a visible ambassador for the organization, strengthening brand awareness
    and market leadership across healthcare, employer, physician, and consumer
    audiences.

Strategic Leadership & Growth

  • Develop
    and own the comprehensive marketing strategy across both business units,
    including demand generation, retail acquisition, brand development, and
    digital marketing.
  • Architect
    the marketing roadmap to support aggressive growth goals across both B2B
    audiences (employers, brokers, consultants, and physicians) and B2C
    audiences (patient acquisition and retention).
  • Own
    annual marketing planning, forecasting, budgeting, and resource
    allocation.
  • Define,
    hire, and scale the marketing organization in alignment with revenue goals
    and long -term business objectives.
  • Evaluate
    and continuously evolve the organization's marketing capabilities,
    operating model, technology infrastructure, agency partnerships, and
    talent strategy to support future growth.
  • Build
    scalable marketing systems, processes, and measurement frameworks that
    support expansion into new markets and customer segments.
  • Lead
    enterprise -wide growth initiatives that strengthen customer acquisition,
    retention, engagement, and lifetime value.

B2B Demand Generation

  • Design
    and execute sophisticated lead -generation campaigns targeting employed and
    independent physicians considering a transition to concierge medicine.
  • Lead
    multi -channel demand generation programs targeting employers, benefits
    brokers, consultants, and other strategic partners.
  • Optimize
    the full funnel from awareness and engagement through pipeline creation,
    sales -qualified opportunities, and revenue attribution.
  • Oversee
    account -based marketing, events, webinars, partner marketing initiatives,
    and sales enablement programs.
  • Collaborate
    closely with Sales leadership on pipeline health, forecasting, account
    prioritization, and growth strategies.

B2C / Retail Patient Acquisition

  • Drive
    patient acquisition and appointment volume through integrated campaigns
    spanning paid media, organic search, social media, direct mail, local
    activations, community engagement, and partnership marketing.
  • Lead
    brand strategy, creative direction, positioning, and messaging that
    differentiates the organization in a competitive healthcare landscape.
  • Develop
    and optimize customer lifecycle marketing initiatives, including email,
    SMS, CRM automation, retargeting, and loyalty programs.
  • Enhance
    customer engagement and retention strategies to maximize long -term patient
    value and advocacy.

Analytics, Insights & Performance Management

  • Own
    marketing KPIs and foster a culture of measurement, experimentation,
    optimization, and accountability.
  • Deploy
    advanced analytics to support attribution modeling, customer acquisition
    cost optimization, lifetime value analysis, and cohort tracking.
  • Present
    performance dashboards, growth forecasts, and strategic recommendations to
    executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
  • Deliver
    executive -level reporting and growth insights that connect marketing
    investment directly to revenue growth, customer acquisition, and business
    performance.
  • Develop
    forecasting models and measurement frameworks that support strategic
    planning, resource allocation, and enterprise growth objectives.

Team Leadership & Cross -Functional Collaboration

  • Build,
    mentor, and develop a high -performing marketing organization with clear
    career paths, performance standards, and leadership development
    opportunities.
  • Cultivate
    a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous
    improvement.
  • Develop
    leadership capabilities across the marketing function while creating
    succession plans that support long -term organizational growth.
  • Partner
    closely with Sales, Operations, Clinical, Product, Business Intelligence,
    and Finance leaders to align marketing with company objectives.
  • Create
    shared KPIs, operating rhythms, and performance frameworks that drive
    alignment and execution across the organization.
  • Champion
    customer insights, brand standards, and voice -of -customer initiatives
    across all touchpoints.


Requirements

  • 15+
    years of progressive marketing leadership experience, including
    responsibility for enterprise growth strategy, customer acquisition, and
    organizational leadership.
  • Demonstrated
    success driving both B2B demand generation and B2C customer acquisition
    with measurable revenue impact.
  • Proven
    track record driving growth within multi -site, multi -market, or
    high -growth organizations.
  • Experience
    leading integrated marketing programs spanning digital, analytics,
    content, brand, creative, CRM, and field marketing.
  • Demonstrated
    success building and scaling marketing organizations within high -growth or
    private equity -backed environments.
  • Proven
    ability to translate marketing investments into measurable business
    outcomes, including revenue growth, customer acquisition, pipeline
    generation, and profitability.
  • Experience
    presenting business performance, growth initiatives, and strategic
    recommendations to executive leadership teams, investors, or boards of
    directors.
  • Strong
    ability to recruit, lead, and develop high -performing teams.
  • Expertise
    in analytics, CRM platforms, marketing technology, attribution modeling,
    and performance measurement.
  • Exceptional
    communication skills, executive presence, and strategic decision -making
    capabilities.
  • Experience
    evaluating, managing, and optimizing agency and partner relationships.

Preferred

  • Experience
    within multi -site healthcare, retail health, primary care, specialty care,
    wellness, or adjacent healthcare services environments.
  • MBA or
    Master's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related
    discipline.
  • Experience
    operating within a private equity -backed, venture -backed, or other
    high -growth environment.
