Job Summary:

The CNO ensures that quality nursing care is rendered to all patients in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, DNV, TriState Health (TSH) and nursing department standards. Oversees, directs, and evaluates all activities and programs associated with the day-to-day operations of nursing and other departments as assigned. Supervises and evaluates performance of all direct reports. Assures implementation of TSH initiatives and policies while guiding TSH to be high-performing in the areas of patient safety; clinical outcomes (quality), and positive financial performance.

Education and Training:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and Master’s degree in Nursing, Business Administration, or Health Care Administration, required.

Licensures and Certifications:

• Current Washington State RN license or Multi-State RN license, required.

Experience:

• Minimum of five (5) years as a hospital nursing executive.

Skills and Abilities:

• Demonstrated leadership and an ability to influence and motivate others.


• Thorough knowledge of legal, regulatory, ethical, managerial, organizational requirements, principles and standards of nursing care for hospitals and health care systems.
