Overview:

This 11-month position is part of the Student and Family Support Services offered by The Center. The CFT is responsible for providing counseling (individual and family) to students and their families. This position also provides crisis response, consultation and information and referral services. The CFT is responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments that identify the immediate and longer term needs of the students referred. Based upon this assessment, a service plan is created that includes the immediate direct services to be provided as well as referrals to other resources in the and school and the community. The CFT works closely with the School Social Worker who generates the referrals and integrates into the school community by participating in various school meetings and committees, as appropriate.

Schedule: Full Time. Monday- Friday 11 months

Location: Penfield Central School District

Responsibilities:

• Crisis response/ intervention


• Consultation maintains professional relationship with staff


• Assessment/triage


• Child and family counseling


• Information dissemination referrals and referral readiness support


• Case and program record keeping


• Psycho-educational group facilitation

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Service or Education or related field AND 5 years' experience OR equivalent combination / Master's Degree preferred


• Driver's license

Skills:

• Strong Knowledge of child and adolescent development


• Knowledge of youth serving systems


• Strong time management and multi-tasking skills


• Excellent literacy and communication skills


• Knowledge of community resources


• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office


• Advanced knowledge of Internet Explorer

Pay Rate: $22-$24 per hour
