JOB DESCRIPTION

Overview:

The Child Watch Worker cares for kids from birth through 5th grade at various events and activities throughout the year. This person must be personable, responsible, and dependable and love children. This job is flexible with weekly opportunities, as well as occasional large events.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide a safe, nurturing environment for children in your care.


• Play with children.


• Provide structure and boundaries for children.


• Keep space tidy.


• Other duties depending on age, including providing snacks, feeding babies, or changing diapers.


• Agree and adhere to the Christ Community Children and Student Policy Form.

Essential Abilities:

• Possess a strong commitment to the safety and well-being of children.


• Implement schedules and routines to ensure that children have enough physical activity, rest, and playtime.


• Relate to children and parents by showing compassion and empathy.


• Possess the ability to make good choices and quick decisions.


• Collaborate with other child care workers to carry out assigned duties.

Details:

• Reports to the Childwatch Coordinator.


• Ongoing paid, temporary childcare as needed. $50 for a two-hour commitment, with a rate of $17.50/hr after the first two hours.
