$120,000 - $180,000
Charleston, West Virginia
This is a chance to take responsible charge of your own project designs rather than executing someone else's. You'll lead small to moderate design teams on site development work, own the technical decisions from hydrologic modeling through post-construction stormwater management, and coordinate directly with regulatory agencies rather than routing everything through a project manager.
The firm works across educational, commercial/retail, industrial, governmental, institutional, and sports design projects, so the work stays varied rather than repetitive.
You'll be responsible for the economic well-being of your assigned project designs, not just the technical drawings, giving you real ownership over outcomes. Project variety spans site development, public utilities, water resources, master planning, and pavement management, so you're not stuck doing the same design type project after project.
You'll work alongside in-house architects, engineers, and technicians rather than juggling outside consultants, which means faster answers and tighter coordination on multidisciplinary projects.
The firm recently completed a merger and is growing, giving you the chance to build your project portfolio as the company scales rather than joining a plateaued operation. The culture is described as family oriented, and the firm has been recognized by PSMJ for performance, employee engagement, and retention, an industry benchmark most firms don't earn.
If leading your own site development projects and working inside a growing, multidisciplinary firm sounds like the right next step, we'd love to talk.
