Civil Litigation Associate Attorney

Pay: $100,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year

Note:

Candidates must be admitted to practice in California and have 1+ year of civil litigation experience. Professional liability and/or securities litigation experience is preferred but not required.

Job Description

• Manage your own litigation matters and help drive cases toward resolution.
• Draft motions, pleadings, discovery requests, responses, and other litigation documents.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings.
• Work directly with clients and provide strategic case updates and recommendations.
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex factual and legal issues.
• Develop case strategy alongside experienced litigation attorneys.
• Defend professionals including attorneys, accountants, architects, engineers, and insurance professionals.
• Assist with securities disputes, including matters involving FINRA Dispute Resolution and arbitration.
• Handle Directors and Officers and other complex litigation in state and federal court.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active California bar admission required.
• 1+ year of civil litigation experience required.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters, deadlines, and priorities.
• Professional liability and/or securities litigation experience preferred.
• Deposition, discovery, motion practice, or direct client experience is a plus.
