What We're Looking For:

Michael Baker International is seeking a Civil Site Project Manager to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona.

The Project Manager will support a variety of Civil Engineering projects, including site development, drainage, utilities, federal facilities, and aviation projects. The successful candidate will demonstrate experience managing all phases of project delivery, including planning, design, and construction management.

In this role, you will lead project execution, administer contracts, and oversee the successful delivery of major federal, municipal, and public works projects.

A hybrid work schedule is available for this position.

What You'll Do:

  • Plan, organize, and supervise the work of professional staff, technical personnel, and subconsultants.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and oversee detailed engineering activities for large-scale civil and construction projects.
  • Develop and evaluate project plans, design criteria, and engineering solutions for a variety of civil engineering projects.
  • Develop, assign, review, and approve project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
  • Track project financial performance and coordinate with management and operations to monitor project progress and profitability.
  • Lead technical decision-making, resolve project issues, and conduct cost and schedule performance reviews.
  • Mentor, motivate, and lead a team of engineers and field staff.
  • Serve as a client-facing representative with the ability to maintain and expand client relationships and business opportunities.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Arizona required, or the ability to obtain Arizona licensure within six (6) months of hire.
  • 8 to 12 years of progressive civil engineering and commercial site development project management experience.
  • Mining industry experience is a plus.
  • Experience with DoD and other federal projects is preferred.
  • Strong design experience and proficiency with AutoCAD.
  • Experience with proposal development, client presentations, and business development activities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated success managing scope, schedule, and budget objectives on large-scale civil engineering projects.
  • Experience coordinating with third-party agencies, including public utilities, transit agencies, and other jurisdictional authorities.
  • Experience with Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) processes and compliance.
  • Experience with construction management and Design-Build project delivery is preferred.

Compensation

The approximate compensation range for this position is $101,504.00 - $159,889.60 annually. This compensation range is a good-faith estimate at the time of posting. Actual compensation will vary based on factors including education, qualifications, experience, skill set, and geographic work location.
