At McGrath, our Civil Superintendents play a critical role in delivering successful projects. You'll lead field operations, coordinate crews and subcontractors, drive schedules, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
We are a 100% employee-owned Design/Build Construction Manager and General Contractor with over 40 years of experience serving industrial, pharmaceutical, healthcare, energy, and commercial clients throughout the St. Louis region. As our civil division continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Superintendent to help lead that growth.
What You'll Be Doing
Leading day-to-day field operations on civil construction projects
Managing self-perform concrete, grading, foundation, and utility work
Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and field crews
Driving project schedules, production goals, and quality standards
Maintaining a safe and organized jobsite
Building strong relationships with clients, inspectors, and trade partners
Completing field reporting, documentation, and project coordination
Working closely with Project Managers to ensure successful project delivery

What We're Looking For
Proven experience leading civil construction projects in a Superintendent role
Strong knowledge of:
Site grading
Site utilities
Concrete foundations
Deep foundations
Structural concrete
Concrete flatwork
Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contracts
Experience managing field crews and subcontractors
Strong scheduling and project coordination skills
Knowledge of project cost tracking and field productivity
Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
Excellent communication and leadership skills
OSHA 30 Certification
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and scheduling software
