Civil/Structural Designer

Waldemar S. Nelson is seeking a skilled Civil/Structural Designer to join our engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for creating detailed design drawings and documentation to support civil and structural engineering projects. You will collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop accurate and compliant designs that meet project specifications and regulatory standards. The role requires proficiency in CAD software and a strong understanding of construction and engineering principles. This position offers an opportunity to work on a variety of projects within industrial, offshore, and infrastructure sectors.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed civil and structural design drawings and documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure design accuracy and integration.
• Review project specifications, codes, and standards to ensure compliance.
• Utilize CAD software to develop and revise plans, sections, and details.
• Support project management by maintaining design schedules and documentation.
• Assist in field verification and incorporate feedback into design revisions.

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of civil and structural design principles, construction methods, and relevant standards.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Experience in industrial or offshore projects is an asset.
