Position Summary

Open Lending is seeking an experienced claims professional to review, evaluate, and process claims across a range of commercial casualty products. The Claims Adjuster interprets and applies insurance policy provisions, manages assigned claims independently, and ensures accurate, timely, and well-documented claim decisions. The role regularly collaborates with the insurance carriers, clients, and internal teams and is accountable for meeting established standards for claim volume, quality, customer service, and response times.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the Lenders Protection program, applicable insurance products, and internal claim-handling procedures.
• Review submitted claims and obtain, validate, and document the information required to determine eligibility for payment.
• Identify and correct insurance application information, when appropriate, before claim payment is issued.
• Calculate claim payments accurately and submit approved claims to the appropriate payment queue.
• Determine the client’s uninsured loss and analyze the factors contributing to that loss.
• Escalate significant uninsured losses and material breakdowns in client application-submission processes to appropriate Lenders Protection staff.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding material process issues and provide clear guidance on corrective actions.
• Conduct training for client employees responsible for claim submissions and assist with claim-related questions or issues.
• Maintain complete, accurate, and timely documentation of claim findings, calculations, decisions, and supporting information.
• Participate in carrier audits and provide requested claim documentation and explanations.
• Maintain all claims adjuster licenses required for the states in which claims are handled.
• Meet established performance standards for claim volume, quality, accuracy, and response times.
• Deliver a consistently high level of service to internal and external customers.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Implementation, Finance, and Information Technology to support operational effectiveness and business opportunities.

Education and Qualifications

• Current, valid Texas resident Property and Casualty claims adjuster license.
• 1+ years of claims experience or other customer service role
• Highly organized, adaptable, and able to adjust effectively to changing priorities and business needs.
