About Our Organization
Green Energy Consumers Alliance is a nonprofit organization with a mission to empower consumers and communities to speed a just transition to a zero-carbon world. We fulfill our mission by combining consumer-facing programs with public policy advocacy at the state and local levels in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. We have twenty employees in offices in Cambridge and Providence. We work in multiple clean energy sectors: renewable energy, heating, transportation, energy efficiency, grid modernization, and more. We have a variety of funding sources – grants, commissions, contracts, donations, but our dominant source of revenue is earned income through our green electricity program.
Overview
We are searching for a Clean Transportation Program Coordinator or Manager to serve as the Co-Director of the Ocean State Clean Cities & Communities Coalition and support Green Energy Consumers other clean transportation work, particularly its Drive Green program. This position will report to our Electric Vehicle Program Director, who will also serve as Co-Director of Ocean State CC&C.
Clean Cities and Communities (CC&C) is a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) partnership to advance alternative transportation nationwide. More than 75 DOE-designated CC&C coalitions work locally in urban, suburban, and rural communities to strengthen the nation’s environment, energy security, and economic prosperity. Green Energy Consumers serves as the host organization of the Rhode Island coalition, Ocean State CC&C.
Green Energy Consumers also runs a general electric vehicle (EV) consumer education program, Drive Green, as well as several targeted projects to increase awareness about EVs, their benefits, and available incentives, and to increase access to EV charging infrastructure.
The successful candidate will reside in Rhode Island and be familiar with its communities; have subject matter expertise in the realm of alternative fuels, particularly electric vehicles; and have demonstrated experience managing stakeholder relationships and project/grant timelines and deliverables. We are looking for someone with at least a bachelor's degree and at least 3 to 5 years' experience. The organization actively supports continued learning, and needed training will be provided.

Compensation
USD $64,350 to $83,850/ year based upon an hourly wage of $33-$43 and 37.5 hours per week.
Hourly wage will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, final job description, and title.
Benefits
Strong package that goes beyond legal requirements in several areas. Health, dental, 403-B, short-term disability, long-term disability, etc. Employees start with 4 weeks’ paid vacation and accrue 12-days of sick time per year. Travel further than to/from our Providence office would be reimbursed.
Hours
This is a full-time position, 37.5 hours per week between 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional work on nights and weekends for events. Schedules can be flexible. Our offices are in Cambridge and Providence. The Clean Transportation Program Coordinator or Manager will work out of the Providence office and remotely at home in a hybrid situation.
