Location: Army Mountain Warfare School, Jericho, VT

Job Title: Cleaner

Job Type: Part-Time

Duties:

• Clean and sanitize the dining facility and surrounding areas, ensuring compliance with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Food Code.
• Perform routine cleaning of all kitchen and dining room equipment, including counters, tables, and floors.
• Clean and sanitize kitchenware, dishware, utensils, and food service equipment after each meal.
• Ensure trash, recycling, and compost receptacles are emptied and replaced as needed during and after meal services, following Vermont State law for waste and recycling.
• Maintain the cleanliness of refrigerators, freezers, ovens, stoves, and dishwashing areas.
• Assist with additional cleaning tasks, ensuring all surfaces are free from spills, grease, and debris.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous experience in cleaning, particularly in a food service environment, is preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of safety and sanitation protocols for maintaining clean environments.
• Ability to work efficiently, adhering to scheduled tasks and ensuring areas are ready for meal service.
