Shift: 11am-11pm

Job Overview

As a Clerical Associate on the Medical Surgical Unit, you help keep the unit running smoothly so nurses, physicians, and support staff can provide high‑quality patient care. You’ll manage communication, coordinate daily workflow, assist with documentation, and provide excellent service to patients, families, and clinical teams. This role requires strong organization, clear communication, and comfort using technology in a fast‑paced environment.

What You’ll Do

• Coordinate unit activity at the nurse’s station


• Support nurses, providers, patients, and visitors


• Manage phones, call lights, and communication systems


• Maintain forms, supplies, and patient education materials


• Assist with admissions, discharges, and EMR tasks


• Help keep the unit safe, organized, and running smoothly

Requirements

• Basic Life Support (BLS) within six months of hire


• High school diploma or GED preferred


• Successful completion of Epic training as required
