Clinic Admission Clerk - FULL TIME

Location: SGH Medical Clinic – Mendenhall, MS
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Full-Time | On-site only
Reports to: Clinic Director

Are you a friendly, detail-oriented professional with a passion for helping others? Simpson General Hospital is seeking a Full-Time Admissions Clerk to be the welcoming face of our clinic. What You'll Do:

• Greet and assist patients and visitors in person and by phone


• Register patients accurately and efficiently


• Collect and document payments on patient accounts


• Direct inquiries to appropriate departments or providers


• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized admissions area


• Monitor supplies and equipment, reporting maintenance needs


• Support infection-control and hospital policies


• Adapt to change and collaborate with team members


• Perform other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED (Required); Associate Degree (Preferred)


• Experience:
  
  
  
  
  • 1+ year in a healthcare setting (Required)
  
  
  • 1+ year in customer or provider service (Preferred)
  
  
  
  


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills


• Knowledge of Medical Insurance Policies


• Professional, compassionate, and team-oriented attitude


• Ability to multitask, solve problems, and work under pressure


• Knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations

Physical Requirements:

• Lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally


• Clear speech and hearing for effective communication


• Visual acuity for close and distant tasks
