Position Summary

Conservative Care Occupational Health is seeking an experienced and dependable Nurse/Medical Assistant Supervisor to provide hands-on clinical support and leadership across two occupational health clinic locations in the Oklahoma City area.

This position is a working supervisory role, combining direct patient care with day-to-day clinical oversight, staff support, and operational coordination. The Nurse/MA Supervisor will typically spend 3–4 days per week at one clinic and 1–2 days per week at the second clinic, with flexibility based on staffing and operational needs.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, organized, and adaptable healthcare professional who enjoys working directly with patients while helping clinical teams operate efficiently and maintain high standards of care.


Key Responsibilities

Clinical Support & Patient Care

  • Perform Medical Assistant and/or nursing duties within the individual's qualifications, licensure, and scope of practice.
  • Assist with occupational health services, including drug and alcohol testing, specimen collection, vital signs, patient intake, and other clinical procedures.
  • Support occupational health examinations, including DOT and non-DOT physicals, pre-employment screenings, and work-related injury evaluations.
  • Assist providers with patient examinations, procedures, documentation, and clinical workflows.
  • Perform or assist with laboratory testing, EKGs, audiometric testing, spirometry, and X-rays, as trained, certified, and authorized.
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and ensure compliance with established clinical procedures.

Clinical Supervision & Staff Support

  • Provide day-to-day supervision, guidance, and support to clinical staff across both locations.
  • Serve as a resource for staff regarding clinical procedures, patient care, workflow, and operational expectations.
  • Assist with onboarding, training, and ongoing development of clinical employees.
  • Monitor staff performance, productivity, professionalism, and adherence to company policies.
  • Identify performance concerns and communicate with appropriate leadership to ensure timely resolution.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive, patient-focused work environment.

Multi-Clinic Operations & Staffing Coverage

  • Provide regular on-site support to both Oklahoma City-area clinics, typically working 3–4 days at one location and 1–2 days at the other.
  • Adjust work location and responsibilities based on patient volume, staffing availability, and operational priorities.
  • Provide direct clinical coverage during employee PTO, sick leave, scheduled absences, and unexpected staffing shortages.
  • Assist with coordinating daily staffing assignments and ensuring adequate clinical coverage.
  • Support consistent clinical workflows, procedures, and operational standards between both locations.
  • Communicate staffing concerns, workflow challenges, and operational needs to clinic and company leadership.
  • Assist with maintaining adequate clinical supplies, equipment readiness, and a clean, safe work environment.

Quality, Compliance & Leadership

  • Ensure clinical staff follow company policies, safety procedures, infection control standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Support accurate and timely completion of clinical documentation and required records.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve patient flow, operational efficiency, and the overall patient experience.
  • Lead by example through professionalism, dependability, accountability, and a willingness to assist wherever needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support clinic operations.

Requirements

 

Qualifications

Required:

  • Current nursing credentials (LPN or RN) or relevant Medical Assistant education, certification, or equivalent clinical experience.
  • Previous experience in a clinical or outpatient healthcare setting.
  • Strong clinical skills and the ability to independently perform assigned patient care responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and adapt to changing clinic needs.
  • Willingness and ability to work at both Oklahoma City-area clinic locations.
  • Dependable attendance and flexibility to provide staffing coverage as needed.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records and basic computer applications.

Preferred:

  • Previous supervisory, team lead, or clinical management experience.
  • Experience in occupational medicine, urgent care, or a similar outpatient healthcare environment.
  • Experience with occupational health testing, including drug screens, breath alcohol testing, audiometry, spirometry, and EKGs.
  • Familiarity with DOT physicals, workers' compensation, and employer-based healthcare services.
  • Experience training, mentoring, or coordinating clinical staff.
