Clinic Registered Nurse - Neurosurgery

Semmes Murphey Clinic's mission is to deliver the best care for people suffering from neurological illnesses while advancing the field of neuroscience. 

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join a neurosurgery practice. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a dedicated care team supporting patients and their families through complex neurosurgical care. This career will leverage your clinical expertise along with a high level of attention to detail to effectively prioritize complex cases. You will need to be highly organized, proactive, and steady under pressure, with the ability to guide patients and their families through complex situations while maintaining structure and clarity. 

This is a full-time, onsite position. Hours in this role are Monday to Friday, approximately 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. 

We are searching for a candidate who

• has the ability to work with focused concentration, as well as, comprehend and interpret verbal orders and directions
• can make frequent judgments and respond to routine problems
• is able to communicate effectively and persuasively in both positive and negative situations
• can provide excellent customer service while managing difficult or emotional situations
• maintains a high level of confidentiality and discretion

This position requires a nursing program certificate from an accredited college or university, one (1) year experience as a registered nurse, and current state nursing license and BLS certification. BSN degree and experience working in an outpatient clinic setting is preferred. 

The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word), Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and medical practice software, with knowledge of data entry and coding software. Organizational skills with attention to detail are required.
