Schedule:
Full-Time or Part-Time Monday–Thursday | 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for helping new patients transition smoothly into the practice, supporting ongoing patient care, maintaining clinical flow, and ensuring excellent communication between patients, doctors, and specialty offices.
Clinical & Patient Care Duties:
Chairside assisting during dental procedures as needed
Sterilizing instruments and disinfecting treatment rooms according to OSHA regulations
Setting up and tearing down treatment rooms
Taking radiographs and assisting with digital workflows
Seating patients and helping maintain efficient schedule flow
Reviewing health histories and updating patient records
Greeting and escorting patients to operatories
Educating patients on treatment and post-operative care
Presenting treatment plans and discussing financial arrangements
Calling patients following difficult treatment appointments
Taking impressions and supporting lab case management
Tracking referrals and communicating with specialty offices
Monitoring inventory and stocking treatment rooms and sterilization areas
Maintaining accurate records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Assisting coworkers and contributing to a positive team atmosphere
Office Participation:
Participate actively in team meetings
Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional office environment
Perform additional duties as assigned by the dentist
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited dental assisting program or DANB
Minimum 2 years of dental experience preferred
Radiology and CPR certification required
Dentrix experience preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable
Ability to multitask and adapt quickly
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn new technology
