Clinical Director, Marisol Health

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Clinical Director, Marisol Health: 

  • Collaborates with the Marisol Health Leadership team in overall planning for whole person multi-disciplinary care for the clients of Marisol Health. 
  • Collaborates with medical providers to support universal screening (e.g., depression, anxiety, substance use, intimate partner violence) and effective referral pathways.
  • Develops, implements, and monitors clinical policies, protocols, and workflows      specific to integrated women’s behavioral health and behavioral health care to other family focused programs of Catholic Charities.
  • Leads quality improvement initiatives focused on access, engagement, clinical outcomes, and patient safety throughout Marisol Health Behavioral Health programming.
  • Develops, implements, and monitors Quality Improvement and Peer Review activities. 
  • Participates in strategic planning and program development for behavioral health treatment services throughout Marisol Health programming, to include identification of unmet needs, creation and implementation of shared integrated care models, levels of care, and modalities of treatment.
  • Provides clinical counseling services to Marisol Health clients both in-person and via telehealth.
  • Participates in the agency-wide Behavioral Health Committee to coordinate behavioral health services across the organization.
  • Spearheads the development and delivery of outstanding, ongoing clinical training for all behavioral health staff across Marisol Health.
  • Collaborates with Program Director to ensure regular clinical and administrative supervision is provided to all clinical staff.
  • Provides clinical supervision to pre-licensed clinicians and unlicensed professionals per the agency’s Rendering Provider Oversight policy. 
  • Collaborates with operations, billing, and compliance teams to ensure efficient service delivery, revenue cycle management, and reporting protocols.
  • Monitors productivity, access, and utilization while supporting high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Supports documentation standards, care coordination, and interdisciplinary communication.
  • Serves as clinical consultant, advocate and educator regarding issues related to behavioral health and substance abuse      to all Marisol Health staff.
  • Provide direct clinical supervision to Marisol Health behavioral health staff.

Requirements

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrates effective communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. 
  • Knowledge of methods of psychotherapy. 
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of clinical experience in behavioral health, including experience with women’s health, perinatal mental health, or family-centered care. 
  • Knowledge of mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, substance use screening, and early childhood mental health.
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical supervision and program leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care, integrated care models, and evidence-based behavioral health interventions.
  • Experience working in integrated medical settings (OB/Gyn, primary care, FQHC, or women’s health clinics) preferred.
  • Specialized training or certification in perinatal mental health (e.g., PMH-C) or willingness to pursue
  • Experience with quality improvement, outcomes measurement, or value-based care models
  • Familiarity with diverse, underserved, or culturally diverse populations.
  • Knowledge of community resources. 
  • Ability to assess crisis situations and intervene appropriately. 
  • Knowledge of the DSM V, DC:0-5, and diagnostic techniques. 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field. Current unrestricted clinical license (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Psychologist), as required by state regulations. Minimum of 5–7 years of clinical experience in behavioral health, including experience with women’s health, perinatal mental health, or family centered care

Demonstrated experience in clinical supervision and program leadership.

Strong knowledge of trauma informed care, integrated care models, and evidence based behavioral health interventions.
