Job Description - Clinical Engineering Cyber Specialist

The Vernon Staffing Group is seeking an experienced Clinical Engineering Cyber Specialist for an exciting opportunity with a large Hospital.

In this critical role, you will lead the technical execution of a medical device cybersecurity program, helping protect patient care technologies while ensuring compliance with healthcare cybersecurity standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

â Lead implementation of medical device cybersecurity strategies

â Perform cybersecurity risk assessments and threat analysis

â Implement cybersecurity controls and critical security fixes

â Collaborate with Clinical Engineering, IT, and Information Security teams

â Monitor emerging threats and assess impact to medical device inventory

â Support cybersecurity metrics and reporting for leadership

Requirements

Qualifications:

â Bachelorâs Degree or equivalent experience

â Minimum 3 years of relevant experience

â Experience in medical device cybersecurity or healthcare technology environments

â Knowledge of NIST, ISO, FDA, and Joint Commission standards

â Experience with CMMS platforms

â Valid Driverâs License required

â CISSP, HCISPP, CEH, Security+, or similar certifications preferred
