The USF Department of Urology is hiring an Intructor in Sexual Medicine. This position requires successful completion of Urology Residency and an M.D. or D.O.
The Clinical Fellow will be expected to teach the Residents in rotation as well as direct research projects and publications.
The Clinical Fellow will attend clinic with Dr. Rafael Carrion and perform surgery both with Dr. Carrion and independently. This position will focus on developing clinical expertise in the management of patients suffering from all forms of sexual dysfucntion. This includes erectile dysfunction, hypogonadism, infertility, Peyronie's Disease, etc.
Responsible to a licensed health care practitioner or other appropriate higher level administrator of a medical or professional school of a State university.
Responsible for clinical activities relating to the advanced fellowship training program.
Responsible for conducting research in specialized areas of health care, and for writing reports on research objectives and results.
May participate in teaching activities.
May provide services under a Professional Services Agreement that clearly distinguishes services from those within the advanced training program.
Must be a graduate of an approved professional degree program in the appropriate health discipline and have completed residency training within a selected area of specialization, including research and/or clinical training in specialized areas.
Must be licensed or eligible for a full Florida medical license in their primary specialty and qualified to function as an attending physician.
This Advanced Fellowship training will usually follow the completion of clinical training in preparation for an academic position or subspecialty certification.
Due to the requirements of this class code, holders of J-1 visa are not eligible for an appointment using this code.
Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Clinical Fellow.
