Clinical Program Coordinator RN - Stroke & Sepsis

The Clinical Program Coordinator, Stroke & Sepsis provides clinical leadership, program coordination, education, and performance improvement support for the hospital's stroke and sepsis programs. This role advances safe, timely, evidence-based care across the continuum by partnering with nursing, medical staff, emergency services, critical care, quality, data, rehabilitation, case management, EMS, and other inter-professional stakeholders. The coordinator supports program operations, regulatory and accreditation readiness, data review, clinical education, protocol adherence, and quality improvement initiatives that improve outcomes for patients with stroke and sepsis.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Coursework/Training: Certification in Stroke or Neurosciences (Upon hire or within 6 months of hire)
• California Registered Nurse License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
• California Fire and Life Safety Card - National Organization within 30 days of hire.
• SCRN, CEN, CCRN, CPHQ, NE-BC, or other specialty certification relevant to stroke, sepsis, critical care, quality, or nursing leadership upon hire
• 3 years of Clinical experience in the acute care setting providing direct care to stroke patients.
• 3 years of Acute care nursing experience.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Quality, Education, or related field
• Certification in Neuroscience upon hire
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale Certificate - NIH Stroke Scale Training Course within 120 days of hire.
• 2 years of experience as a program coordinator, nursing leader, or educator.
• 3 years of experience in emergency, critical care, neuroscience, stroke, sepsis, quality, or performance improvement.
