Job Description - Clinical Psychologist

Job title: Clinical Psychologist.
Location: New Sunrise Regional Treatment Center, Acoma, NM 87034.
Job Type: Full Time.

Qualifications:

must possess a Doctoral Degree (Ph.D, Psy.D, or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in Clinical Psychology, as required.
Must possess and maintain a valid, current, unrestricted license or certification in a U.S. State as a Clinical Psychologist.
Extensive experience in psychological assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic intervention, particularly in settings dealing with substance abuse and mental health issues in adolescents.

Duties:

Conducts assessments, diagnoses, and psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and timely documentation.
Delivers outreach services in various community settings, including telehealth, schools, and hospitals, to meet client needs.
Provides individual, group, and family counseling sessions.
Maintains clear documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, and case management services.
Collaborates with the Behavioral Health team on patient treatment plans, contributing expertise in psychological assessments.
Administers psychological tests to distinguish between organic and functional emotional disturbances.
Offers consultation to IHS staff and community resources regarding psychological evaluations and testing.
Coordinates services with various stakeholders, ensuring culturally sensitive care that respects local traditions and community values.
Prioritizes patient care while engaging in community collaboration, with off-site activities requiring Director approval.
Provides behavioral health and substance abuse counseling in various settings, including homes and schools, within the New Sunrise Regional Treatment Center.
