Clinical Social Worker III

This position may be located anywhere in the state of Oklahoma.

Travel: Some travel - Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain required car insurance.

Level III H27C  $59,797.92  + Full State Employee Benefits

  Purpose:

This position is for applicants with a Master's in Social Work who have received their Licensed Master's in Social Work (LMSW) and would like to become Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW).

Job Responsibilities:

•  Provide direct clinical services to post-adoptive families who are referred by the post adoption department staff for services.  
•  Deliver an intervention program focused on stabilizing the post-adoptive family and getting them connected to long-term mental health and community support services.  
• Complete intake and assessment for treatment planning and evaluation of the effectiveness of interventions.
• Provide in-home consultation to stabilize families and to assist in preventing adoption disruptions.  
•  Train parents to learn and apply therapeutic parenting techniques, including exploration of supports for significant behavioral and emotional challenges in the home.
• Build and support a state network of adoption competent mental health providers.  Provide outreach and education for other Oklahoma mental health providers and other relevant systems on adoption competent mental health.
•  Consult, participate, and/or lead adoption-specific support groups for parents, children, and communities.

Minimum Qualifications:

Level III - Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of a Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education and four years of professional social work experience.

Selective Qualification:

Applicant must have their LMSW and be interested in working toward a clinical license.
