Unit: ICU


Weekly Working Hours: 36 hours/week; Full Time benefitted 


Shift: Day Shift; 7a – 7:30p; weekend work required


**Valid DC CNA License Required**

The Clinical Technician II (Clin Tech II) maintains a collaborative relationship with the Registered Nurse (RN) and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team. Under the direction of an RN, a Clin Tech II works as an associate with training in advanced specific clinical skills/competencies on the healthcare team. Observes patients, provides skilled nursing care, and maintains the patient environment in an outcome oriented, safe, therapeutic, compassionate, and cost-effective manner.



  • Periodically checks patients, takes vital signs, and observes condition of the patient and patient care equipment or devices

  • Provides personal care for patient including hygiene and physical comfort measures

  • Performs bedside glucose monitoring & EKG tracing

  • Measures and records intake and output

  • Inserts and removes Foley catheters


 


Minimum Qualifications:



  • High school graduate or GED

  • Current certification as CNA in the District of Columbia

  • American Heart Association BLS CPR required

  • Minimum 2 years' experience

Salary Range: Minimum 21.44/hour - Maximum 33.24/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
