Location: Miami, FL. This is a hybrid opportunity with meaningful flexibility. Attorneys are expected to maintain an active presence in the Miami office, but there is no fixed number of required in-office days.

Note: Candidates must be admitted to the Florida Bar or eligible for admission and have 6+ years of commercial real estate finance experience, including significant experience drafting and negotiating finance agreements and related transaction documents.

Job Description

• Draft and negotiate sophisticated commercial real estate finance transaction documents.
• Handle finance agreements, loan modifications, consents, assumptions, extensions, forbearances, workouts, and related documentation.
• Advise CMBS loan servicers, special servicers, and institutional lenders on performing and non-performing loans.
• Work on complex loan sales, asset dispositions, restructurings, and other debt-related transactions.
• Analyze loan documents, servicing issues, borrower requests, defaults, and workout strategies.
• Manage matters involving office, retail, multifamily, hospitality, self-storage, healthcare, and other commercial real estate assets.
• Coordinate with clients, borrowers, opposing counsel, consultants, and other stakeholders throughout complex transactions.
• Provide practical, strategic guidance on legal and business issues affecting commercial real estate loans nationwide.

Qualifications

• Florida Bar admission or eligibility for admission required.
• 6+ years of commercial real estate finance experience.
• Significant experience drafting and negotiating sophisticated finance agreements and related transaction documents.
• Experience with modifications, consents, workouts, restructurings, or similar commercial loan matters.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• CMBS industry experience preferred.
• Major law firm experience preferred.
• Spanish language skills preferred.
