CNA Clinical Instructor for Carmel High School

Position Overview

Legacy Medical Academy is seeking a dependable and professional CNA Clinical Instructor to oversee students during clinical rotations for our high school Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program. The Clinical Instructor is fully responsible for students during their clinical experience within long-term care and healthcare facilities.

The Clinical Instructor provides supervision, reinforces clinical expectations, supports student learning, and helps maintain a safe, professional, and positive clinical environment. This role is focused on student support, oversight, professionalism, and clinical instruction during hands-on patient care experiences.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise high school CNA students during clinical rotations 
• Support students as they perform CNA skills and patient care activities in accordance with state guidelines and facility policies 
• Reinforce professionalism, communication, safety, infection control, and clinical expectations 
• Provide a safe, structured, and positive learning environment for students during clinical experiences 
• Ensure students remain engaged, on task, and compliant with facility and program expectations 
• Communicate student concerns, safety issues, or professionalism concerns to program leadership 
• Maintain positive relationships with partner healthcare facilities and staff 
• Represent Legacy Medical Academy professionally within clinical settings 
• Assist with clinical organization, attendance tracking, and general student oversight during clinical rotations
• Monitor and document student clinical hours and skill check-offs

Minimum Qualifications

• Current Indiana LPN, ASN, or BSN license in good standing 
• Experience working in healthcare, long-term care, or skilled nursing settings  
• Ability to work effectively with high school students in a clinical environment 
• Strong communication, professionalism, and leadership skills 
• Reliable transportation to assigned clinical locations
  

Preferred Qualifications

• IDOH Train-the-Trainer certification   
• Previous experience supervising, mentoring, or teaching students  
• CPR certification 

Schedule

This is a part-time position aligned with high school clinical schedules during the academic year. Additional instructional opportunities may be available within Legacy Medical Academy’s adult education programs.
