Responsibilities

  Serve as a working supervisor for CNA staff in the field, offering guidance, mentorship, and on-the-spot support.

  
  


• 
  

  Step in to cover open shifts as needed, maintaining continuity and quality of care for clients.

  
  


• 
  

  Monitor CNA performance in the field and provide real-time coaching and feedback.

  
  


• 
  

  Provide hands-on care as directed by the nursing supervisor, including transferring, bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, toileting, vital signs, and height/weight measurements as needed.

  
  


• 
  

  Follow the patient's plan of care and assist with daily living tasks such as feeding, meal preparation, light housekeeping, linen changes, transportation to appointments, outdoor activities, and shopping.

  
  


• 
  

  Act as a resource and point of escalation for CNAs, reporting concerns or care issues to the nursing supervisor.

  
  

Requirements

• 
  

  High school diploma or GED

  
  


• 
  

  Completion of an approved nursing assistant program

  
  


• 
  

  Current, valid CNA certification in good standing

  
  


• 
  

  CPR certification and a negative TB skin test or chest X-ray

  
  


• 
  

  Minimum of 2–3 years of healthcare experience, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory capacity preferred

  
  


• 
  

  Valid driver's license with a reliable, insured vehicle

  
  


• 
  

  Flexibility to cover open shifts across the Chicagoland area as needed

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to work independently and lead others with minimal supervision

  
  


• 
  

  Strong empathy, communication skills, professionalism, and teamwork

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect patient information

  
  


• 
  

  Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, reach, twist, push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs (assistance needs vary by client mobility)
