Eaton\u0027s ES GEIS CHD division is currently seeking a CNC Machinery Operator - 2nd shift. The core hours are 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm. The hourly rate for this position is $22.52 + $1.50 shift differential per hour.\n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nJOB DESCRIPTION: \n\u2022 Setup and operate conventional machines; and operate only NC and CNC and automatic chucking machines to perform a variety of turning, drilling, tapping, boring, reaming, threading, forming, facing, milling, slotting, grooving, chamfering, serrating and deburring operations to produce a variety of explosion proof parts of various materials. \n\u2022 Machines include, but are not limited to, single spindle and multi-spindle drill presses and tappers, nameplate machine; cover machine; horizontal and vertical milling machines; spot welder; annealing oven; parts washers; multi-axis, multi-turret automatic and hand turret lathes, deburring grinder; automatic bar machines; and CNC turning centers. \n\u2022 Position parts into chucks, fixtures or loading devices; move selection levers for prescribed speeds and feeds; initiate machining cycle and remove machined parts. \n\u2022 Operation sequence is prescribed. \n\u2022 Make adjustments, change, and reset tooling to maintain specified dimensions. Load castings and bar stock to insure continuous operation of equipment. \n\u2022 Major adjustments and setups done by others, but may assist as directed. \n\u2022 Operate weigh count scale, annealing oven, various hand and power tools; wash parts; assemble, pack and label various products as required. \n\u2022 Maintain a supply of materials to machines and remove finished work as necessary to establish a flow through the cells. \n\u2022 May instruct others in the performance of job duties. \n\u2022 Refer to assembly drawings, wiring diagrams and machining blueprints to maintain tolerances. \n\u2022 Check work periodically using fixed or adjustable gauges and visually inspect all parts for appearance and compliance to specifications; correct for any discrepancies. \n\u2022 Exercise care to observe operations; note and refer improvements. \n\u2022 Assist in isolating and correcting malfunctions in machining and control units. \n\u2022 Perform similar or associated duties as required or directed. \n\u2022 Assist in maintaining Material Replenishment System (MRS). \n\u2022 Maintain accurate records and perform clerical functions as required. \n\u2022 May produce move tickets, JAT\u0027s, etc. using the CRT. Record Standard Work, graph load charts and maintain visual controls. \n\u2022 Maintain work area, machines and control units in a clean, neat and orderly condition. \n\u2022 Perform Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) activities as minor maintenance that includes cleaning, inspection, minor lubrication and tightening loose bolts. \n\u2022 Administer the 5-S\u0027s. Follow standard or prescribed safety regulations. \n\u2022 Refer all questionable cases to proper supervision. \n\u2022 Duties involve application of some specialized knowledge and experience and the use of some judgment to comply with instructions or prescribed routines and to make minor decisions.\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications: \n\u2022 High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate. \n\u2022 Minimum one(1) years\u2019 previous work experience in CNC operation \n\u2022 Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future. No relocation benefit is offered for this position.
